About Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is a popular destination for tourists from around the world, due to its wide variety of attractions and activities. Historic sites such as Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Charles Bridge are some of the most visited places in the country. The capital city of Prague is known as a “City of a Hundred Spires”, due to its numerous Gothic and Renaissance buildings.
Czech culture is also evident throughout the numerous pubs, theaters, churches and galleries scattered across the nation. Outside of Prague there are stunning national parks that offer visitors plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and camping. Within these parks lie medieval castles like Karlštejn Castle which was built in 1348 by Charles IV to store imperial jewels, books and artwork. There is also an abundance of natural hot springs open for visitors to relax in after a long day spent sightseeing or exploring outdoor activities.
